Artist's Comments

Detail of one of the great works of the Dalmatian Renaissance - the Chapel of St. John, in the interior of the Trogir cathedral.
Built from 1461 to 1497 in the form of a mausoleum with a marble sarcophagus from 1348. The architect and the chief contractor was Nikola Firentinac, Donatello's pupil. Andrija Alesi and occasionally Ivan Duknovic of Trogir assisted him. Statues and decorative reliefs are in harmony with the balanced architecture of the interior and its coffered barrel vault.

This picture was taken last summer when I visited Trogir. There was no special PS manipulation, only grayscale and dramatic sepia toning

Fotka je nastala skroz spontano, kad sam prosle godine posjetila trogirsku katedralu i tek sam nekidan skuzila da bi je mogla malo dotjerati u photoshopu - i eto sto je ispalo ;)
